PAGTURUPAR 2005

The most awaited event at SSC (Sorsogon State College) finally happened. It was a gloomy Saturday morning of March 26, 2005, the day set for the SSC Pagturupar 2005 General Alumni Homecoming. Around 9:00 o'clock in the morning when the registration begin. Participants for the said event started to arrived and have their Batches registered, SCAT Batch 1980 is the one in-charge of the registration. By the way the host Batches for this years Alumni Homecoming are: SSAT Batch 1955 (Golden Jubilarian) SCAT Batch 1980 (Silver Jubilarian), SCAT Batch 1985 (20 years) and the SSC Batch 1995 (10 years).

Retro music from the 50's,60's,70's and 80's are being played (by yours truly) on the sound system, to create a reminiscing ambience through out the SSC Caumpus. 1 o'clock in the afternoon when almost everybody arrived to join the Parade. It was already 2 o'clock when the Parade started. The Parade was escorted by a Motorcycle Club named RABASS (Riders and Bikers Association of Sorsogon) followed by the very colorful SSC Marching Band. Next to SSC Marching Band are the Golden Jubilarian (SSAT Batch 1955), they looked so georgous by their Golden Filipiniana Dress (for the ladies) and a yellow T-shirt for the Gentlemen. After them are the Batches from the 60's and the 70's. After the last Batch from the 70's (which is the Batch 1979) the SSC Drum and Lyre Corps grace the Parade witht their beutiful majorette and maniorettes, then the Float of the Silver Jubilarian (Batch 1980) followed, with our former teachers as the muses over the float, they are Mrs. Lydia Aninipot,Mrs.Teresita Aninipot,Mrs.Fuentes (formerly Ms.Jamora), Mrs. Ladisla and many more.

This are the Members of SCAT Batch 1980 who was present during our Silver Jubille, our 25 years Reunion. Hopefully na dili lang niyan na Silver Jubille naton kita magkatiripon sin irog sadi kadamo....but hopefully by next year irog guihapon sadi or kun puwede madagdagan pa...mas magayon.

After the Parade...stayfoot kami intiro sa SSC Campus..and we have fun. Nag kaigwa sin mga Games (courtesy of Batch 1995), si Delia Dolosa an nanggana sa Darkmaan ki Orig, kaya igwa na siya niyan sin ataman na baboy. Nagkaigwa man sin Program, where Marivic Ditan serenaded the Golden Jubilarian (Batch 1955) with her Karen Carpenter song "Love me for what i am" as our gentlemen from our Batch escorted them going up to the stage (by the way Class 1955 is headed by Ms.Luz Angeles, remember her, our Math teacher san panahon?). During the Program nagkaigwa sin imprunto na karantahan and guess kun sin-o an nag volunter sa grupo naton? warang iba kundi si Cesar "Ba-o" Divina. Nagpaputok man sin manlain-lain na fireworks an Batch 1985, who added color to the event.

We stayed there hanngang gab-i...nagburo-barayle with the Retro Music (yong mga Danceble Disco Tune san panahon naton....everybody are happy...of course lain mawawara an karaon nan irinom. To sum it up, it was a very successful Pagturupar we have that memorable day. Kaya mga ka-Batch..this is only the beginning of our yearly Pagturupar...Hopefully sa 2006 and sa mga masunod pa...in-tact pa man guihapon an SCAT Batch 1980. Kaya mga Klasmeyt...kun dili kamo naka attend niyan na taon...sa masunod...turupar guihapon kita. MABUHAY AN SCAT BATCH 1980!
