SCAT Batch 1980 "Reminiscing"

To my fellow graduates of Sorsogon College of Arts and Trades (Secondary Dept) <em>Batch 1980>. Remember our High School days? It's been 24 years since we go up on the stage to recieved our High School diplomas (I still remember the date, it's March 27,1980). After that we go on our own way to pursue our College Education, some of us went to Manila,some are in Legaspi City while while the others decided to stay in Sorsgon to study here. Anyway it's not what we achieved on our education is the main issue here but it's our togetherness during those Happy and Memorable days.
Remember our Freshmen years (1976-1977), we are the new kids on the Campus and because we're so young that time, what we have in mind is to play and to study. We don't have much memories during those years. Our Sophomore years (1977-1978) is the turning point of our lives.We've realized that we are not kids anymore, but teen-agers already. Wow! this the time of crushes,Puppy love and even First love (do you still remember your first crushed?)
It was year 1978 to 1979 when we entered our Junior years, this is now the time that we realized that we are a full pledge teen-agers. Our interest became different than on our first and second year of our High School life. Remember the movies like of the "Saturday Night Fever" of John Travolta? or the Rock and Folk Songs of Neil Young,Eagles,Don McLean,Beatles,Deep Purple and John Denver? Who can forget our Pre-CAT Training,specially those who underwent the iniziation for the incoming officers and incoming Model Platoon. Our unforgettable Junior and Seniors Prom with our Baron Tagalog and Bellbottom Jeans and the Pink Gown of our female classmates.
Finally, our Senior years comes. This is now the time we fell that we are already grown up. The crushes,the puppy loves turned now to a relationship."Good old days...good old days" remember that song of Rico J. Puno? Rock and Folksongs are still in during those times. How about the Pinoy Rock of Mike Hanopol,Sampaguita and Asin, the Manila Sounds of VST and Co.,Boyfriends and Hotdog. The Discotech..yes! i remember the Discos or House Party or to some it is called Jam Session.. The CAT Training is one of the unforgettable experience to all of us, remember our Senior Nights and our Graduation Day. If I'm going to write all those great memories, I'll be writting a Book or a Novel, so I just make it short for you to remember our Happy Days.
24 years had passed and we have now our own destiny, we are now living on the future we build for ourselves 24 years ago. Next year is 2005 and our Batch is turning 25, it's our Silver Jubille. My dear Classmates please o remember also our departed classmates and offer them a prayer. Come's next year I encourage you to be a part of our Alumni Home Coming.
