SCAT BATCH 1980 "After 25 years"
Una, an sa aton na pasasalamat sa Mahal na Diyos kay natapos nin matrayumpo an pag Host ta san 'Pagturupar 2005" sa SSC (kan Marso 26, 2005) Salamat sa indo intiro, mga klasmeyt ko sa SCAT Batch 1980, dahil san mga bulig niyo, naton intiro kaya naging Matrayumpo an nasabing Grand Alumni Homecoming. Sa SCAT Batch '80 Manila Group,thank you very much, Sa mga Sorsogon Base man, salamat and of course maging an nasa abroad ta na mga kaklase, like: Mila Jamora (USA),Susan Alcario (France),Daisy Aninipot (Canada),Persis Nieves (KSA) nan si Mary Ann Lomibao (Australia) na nag uli pa didi sa Sorsogon just to attend our Grand Reunion,salamatonon sa indo gabos.

Mixed emotion an naging feeling san lambang saro during san Pagturuparan san Marso 26, didto sa SSC Campus. Mixed emotion kay, talagang maogmahon kay pakalipas sin awat na panahon, nagkiritaan man guihapon. Katako-takot na kurumustahan an nangayari.
Mamundo man kay maski puropapan-o nadumduman ta man an mga kaklase ta na, nagpaaram na didi sa mundo. Of course we remember them sira: Margaret Rose Galias, Ma.Victoria Cruz, Vicente Derla, Joseph Cacliong, Raul Pareja, Danilo Doctama, Heraldo Hibo, Amadito Elona and Miguelito Deniega.(May they rest in peace) Kaya ngani sa Program naton san adlaw na idto, i ask Noel Mariano to offer a prayer for them.

But to us na still alive (and kicking), tuloy an buhay....I can see through the eyes of our Klasmeyt (that day) an kaogmahan na dili kaya tumbasan nin maski nano na kayamanan didi sa ibabaw san mundo. It's only now...na na-realized ko an importance of having a reunion of classmates....niyan na 25 years na an Batch naton..kay sa ayaw natin at sa hindi, na sa mid-life na kita mga klasmates...lain amo. Kwarentahon na kita, although may kasabihan na Life begans at 40...and that,s true...dahil niyan en e-enjoy ta na an mga irog sadi na Reunion, dati dili man kita sadi nag e-enjoy, but now look at that..we are beginning to enjoy and treasure it.
So, now that the fire of SCAT Batch 1980 has bee rikindled, let no one put it off. An gusto ko sabihon, na dili magtapos didto sa turupar ta san Marso 26 an pagkaburogkos san Batch naton, but let it be the beginning of the more closeness of all the members of SCAT Batch 1980. So by next year, turupar guihapon kita.
25 years, after we graduated from our Alma Matter, parang kailan lang ano? but look at that....it happens. Again, to all the members of SCAT Batch 1980...mabuhay kita intiro.

PAGTURUPAR 2005
The most awaited event at SSC (Sorsogon State College) finally happened. It was a gloomy Saturday morning of March 26, 2005, the day set for the SSC Pagturupar 2005 General Alumni Homecoming. Around 9:00 o'clock in the morning when the registration begin. Participants for the said event started to arrived and have their Batches registered, SCAT Batch 1980 is the one in-charge of the registration. By the way the host Batches for this years Alumni Homecoming are: SSAT Batch 1955 (Golden Jubilarian) SCAT Batch 1980 (Silver Jubilarian), SCAT Batch 1985 (20 years) and the SSC Batch 1995 (10 years).
Retro music from the 50's,60's,70's and 80's are being played (by yours truly) on the sound system, to create a reminiscing ambience through out the SSC Caumpus. 1 o'clock in the afternoon when almost everybody arrived to join the Parade. It was already 2 o'clock when the Parade started. The Parade was escorted by a Motorcycle Club named RABASS (Riders and Bikers Association of Sorsogon) followed by the very colorful SSC Marching Band. Next to SSC Marching Band are the Golden Jubilarian (SSAT Batch 1955), they looked so georgous by their Golden Filipiniana Dress (for the ladies) and a yellow T-shirt for the Gentlemen. After them are the Batches from the 60's and the 70's. After the last Batch from the 70's (which is the Batch 1979) the SSC Drum and Lyre Corps grace the Parade witht their beutiful majorette and maniorettes, then the Float of the Silver Jubilarian (Batch 1980) followed, with our former teachers as the muses over the float, they are Mrs. Lydia Aninipot,Mrs.Teresita Aninipot,Mrs.Fuentes (formerly Ms.Jamora), Mrs. Ladisla and many more.

This are the Members of SCAT Batch 1980 who was present during our Silver Jubille, our 25 years Reunion. Hopefully na dili lang niyan na Silver Jubille naton kita magkatiripon sin irog sadi kadamo....but hopefully by next year irog guihapon sadi or kun puwede madagdagan pa...mas magayon.
After the Parade...stayfoot kami intiro sa SSC Campus..and we have fun. Nag kaigwa sin mga Games (courtesy of Batch 1995), si Delia Dolosa an nanggana sa Darkmaan ki Orig, kaya igwa na siya niyan sin ataman na baboy. Nagkaigwa man sin Program, where Marivic Ditan serenaded the Golden Jubilarian (Batch 1955) with her Karen Carpenter song "Love me for what i am" as our gentlemen from our Batch escorted them going up to the stage (by the way Class 1955 is headed by Ms.Luz Angeles, remember her, our Math teacher san panahon?). During the Program nagkaigwa sin imprunto na karantahan and guess kun sin-o an nag volunter sa grupo naton? warang iba kundi si Cesar "Ba-o" Divina. Nagpaputok man sin manlain-lain na fireworks an Batch 1985, who added color to the event.
We stayed there hanngang gab-i...nagburo-barayle with the Retro Music (yong mga Danceble Disco Tune san panahon naton....everybody are happy...of course lain mawawara an karaon nan irinom. To sum it up, it was a very successful Pagturupar we have that memorable day. Kaya mga ka-Batch..this is only the beginning of our yearly Pagturupar...Hopefully sa 2006 and sa mga masunod pa...in-tact pa man guihapon an SCAT Batch 1980. Kaya mga Klasmeyt...kun dili kamo naka attend niyan na taon...sa masunod...turupar guihapon kita. MABUHAY AN SCAT BATCH 1980!
